Eva Alexander has worked with various NGO's in the past and is currently working with the Christian Foundation for Children and Aging (CFCA). We are in the process of beginning to work with other charitable non-profit organizations and will keep you posted as to our developments.
We have had a rewarding experience with this organization which uses over 96% of its donations for the benefit of the children, youth and aging who participate in its programs.
The CFCA is a child sponsorship organization serving more than 300,000 children, youth and the aging in 23 developing countries. CFCA’s Hope for a Family Program connects individual sponsors with a child, youth or elderly person in need of encouragement and support. Hope for a Family sponsorship goes beyond the basics of providing food, education, healthcare and livelihood programs. It gives families hope that they can create a path out of poverty for their children.
Grounded in Christian principles of serving the poor, CFCA works with people of all faith traditions. CFCA receives the highest ratings from Charity Navigator and the American Institute of Philanthropy. To learn more about the CFCA please visit: www.cfcausa.org
Eva Alexander has been introduced to Love, Light, Romania where, again, there are children in great need, having been abandoned by their families due to AIDs. In early December of 2012 we were able to ship 21 boxes of gently used clothes, shoes and toys that we had collected in time for them to celebrate the holiday season.
LLR was established in 1999 in an effort to provide a permanent and loving home for abandoned children and teenagers suffering from HIV/AIDs in the Sibiu and Tirgu-Mures (Transylvania) areas of Romania. LLR also functions as a community center and provides home care support. The community center provides a safe place where the children and teenagers can socialize in an open environment away from the scrutiny and disdain they typically receive from society. The home care aspect of the organization then attends to the general needs of individuals suffering from AIDs/HIV by facilitating the purchase of medication and food and organizing birthday parties in the family home or taking a dying child to visit family members.
With a “door is always open 365 days a year” approach to care and support, the LLR facilities are in great demand. They are currently looking for more sponsors to be able to expand their facilities so that they can accommodate more children and teenagers as they find their way through life.
