To obtain the most stunning silhouette we would recommend ordering your pre-pregnancy size. If you were a size 12 before you were pregnant, then you should order an Eva Alexander size 12. If you are having twins or gaining more than 2kgs (4.4lbs) per month then we would recommend that you select one size larger than your pre-pregnancy size. Keep in mind that due to the inherent stretch of jersey knits the sizing measurements are slightly smaller than for woven fabrics.

Our nylon stretch jersey is soft, breathable and does not pill. This durable fabric retains its quality with every wash. Perfect for that everyday piece that is wash and wear ready.

Nylon is a strong, lustrous, elastic and quick-drying fibre well known for its durability and resilience.

Spandex / Elastane is an elastic fibre that provides stretch and shape retention when woven together with natural fibres

This maternity top is my absolute favourite. I wear it everywhere. It is long enough that I don't have to worry about the shirt riding up and thick enough that I don't feel like my belly button is showing through. The gathering is just the right touch in the front. I needed some maternity wear for the office so I bought one in black. Then I needed a good shirt for my sisters birthday party so I bought one in red. THEN I needed some stylish maternity wear for a Christmas party so I bought it again.... IN GREEN! Clearly I love this shirt. It is comfortable and so easy to take care of. This was the best maternity top that I owned during my pregnancy. Not only did I look and feel sexy in it, it wore really well for the entire 9 months. It didn't pill, it washed and wore well, in fact it still looks as good now as it did when I first opened the package. Even better I was able to use it for breastfeeding after my son was born. I found this maternity top to be adaptable throughout my pregnancy, even with a massive twin bump it still looked good and fit well! It always made me feel good and non-frumpy as many maternity clothes make you feel. I was also able to wear it when breast feeding. The extra fabric really helped with being discreet. I liked the amount of ruched fabric - that's what made it work for me. Great post pregnancy too when your tummy's still going down.

I loved the top and colour/style, the fact you don't have to iron it and it still looks smart. I would definitely recommend Eva Alexander to a friend and buy further clothes.

As a working mother this is one of my staple tops. I wear the top throughout the day and it is very comfortable. It is fitted but doesn't restrict your movement or suck you in - a perfect fit is so difficult to find with maternity wear. With every wash and wear this top continues to retain its shape and colour. You can air dry it and you never need to iron it.

I always feel glamorous in this top which is a godsend when you feel as big as I do carrying twins. I always wear this top for a special evening out with friends.

My only criticism would have been the price, but now that I have been wearing it throughout my maternity, I appreciate why it costs a little more than equivalent tops and it is well worth it - it's one of the best tops I have ever owned! (Posted on 29/11/2011)

Eva Alexander is a genius. WOW! These are without doubt the most stylish maternity clothes I have ever worn.

At last! I’ve found a designer who makes pregnancy look stylish, classy & sexy. Eva Alexanders’ clothes are real head turners & are the Prada of maternity clothing (without the price tag). The whole collection is stunning, but my absolute must haves are the wrap tie jacket and the faux wrap top - which have become my uniform since they arrived. They look just as good with jeans as with a skirt and heels for dinner – and my husband loves them too! Thank you - at last someone understands that a pregnant woman just needs to feel good, and your clothes have made me feel amazing!!

I found out this top was being launched via Eva Alexander's facebook page and the day it went on sale I bought 4. The tops are really great, both sexy and functional. The fabric is much better than what most maternity tops are made out of. The colours have never faded and the fabric still hasn't pilled. I just started nursing my daughter and the shirts have become an essential for everyday. They wash and wear so well that when your baby spits-up you just throw it in the wash...and its ready as soon as you take it out looking good as new!
